Entry to this qualification is open to individuals who:

Hold a CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
OR
CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

This nationally recognised course is an advanced level qualification designed to help you make your own mark in the childcare space in a managerial role. You will learn how to design, evaluate and implement programs and care routines for young children, with 280 hours of workplace training included in the course.

Prerequisites: CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care  OR  CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care

Nationally recognised course: Yes and ACECQA approved

Total units: 15 units (12 core and 3 elective)

Course duration: 12-24 months

Delivery method: Combination of self-paced / online theory and 280 hours of workplace training & practical sessions

Delivery locations: This qualification will be delivered at individuals' workplaces that are approved / regulated education and care service providers

Tuition Fees:

Higher Level Skills co-contribution fee - Concessional student: $1 per unit, 15 units = $15

Higher Level Skills co-contribution fee - Non-concessional student: $2 per unit, 15 units = $30

Fee-for-service student (not eligible for funding): $200 per unit, 15 units = $3,000

Eligible students can also apply for the Queensland Government’s Free Apprenticeships for Under 25s program.

  • Vocational Placement Requirements

    • As childcare is a mandated industry, students undertaking Work Placement must hold a valid Blue Card and, as of 17 December 2021, all workers entering a school, kindergarten, or childcare centre will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
    • All students need to be employed or volunteering in an ACECQA approved early childhood service to complete the practical components of their qualification. This will be for no less than 160 hours spread over the duration of the qualification.
    • Students who are not currently in paid employment at a service will need to complete a Vocational Placement Agreement and meet the vocational placement requirements. Vocational placement is unpaid work. Amazing Education and Training may be able to support students to arrange this placement if they don't already have one. However, it is ultimately the students responsibility to secure placement.
    • Vocational Placement venues must be working with children under 2 years of age.
