Certificate III


CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care allows students who are already working in an early childhood setting or would like to commence a career in early childhood, to formalise their qualifications.

This course will qualify you to work in a range of early childhood education and care settings and is the minimum qualification that allows educators to work in any approved early childhood service in Australia, including long day care, family day care, kindergartens, and school aged care services.

About the Course

Students are required to complete 120 hours of work placement in an approved early childhood service and a completion time of 12 months to 18 months applies to this course. Students are required to obtain a blue card in Queensland or a working with children clearance in your relevant state or territory on commencement.

Students will gain the skills required to interact with children, create safe and healthy environments, respond to children’s daily care requirements as well as their social, emotional and developmental needs; assist educators in setting up and implementing programs and care routines for children.

On completion of this course your knowledge and real-life training will ensure that you are ready to step directly into professional employment.
